In the christian communities sabbath has been viewed mainly as a day of rest based on the Torah.
In the messianic texts Jesus says “its finished” hyperlinking to the creation story when God “ finished” His work which He had made .In addition Sabbath to Jesus was a day to help others and inaugurate the coming of God’s Kingdom for all humanity.
